Based on the distributor profile, we generate a substantial initial list of potential distributors that match the required distributor profile: the pre-qualified "long list" of distributors. Dependent on the size of the geographic area we are covering and the medical device niche we are focusing on, the "long list" usually varies from 10 to 25 pre-qualified distributors. The next step consists of a thorough process of contacting, screening, and qualifying the "long list"of identified distributors and eventually creating a high quality "short list" of suitable partners. During this process we identify and contact the decision makers at these distributors, introduce your company and provide product and pricing information.

During the follow up discussions, a handful of "final list" will be selected, which we call the qualified distributor "short list". JDM will provide the basic information of the candidates to you, including contact, company size, products, covered areas, related department in the hospital and the turnover. If you are not satisfied with the candidates, you can modify your distributor profile and JDM will keep recommending for additional one time without charge. If required, JDM can arrange to have your product literature translated and will do so at cost. 

After the "short list" selection has been made, we can organize a program during which the selected distributors may be visited on-site for a "look and feel" of their organization. We strongly recommend that a decision maker of your company conducts these on-site visits, accompanied by a JDM representative if required. On average, half to two business days are needed per country to be able to meet the selected potential distributors. Visits to logistics and other service providers can be included in this program as well.

This very thorough "bottom-up research and due diligence process" usually takes 3-4 months to complete, depending on how many we are researching on your behalf. A JDM Project Manager will be assigned, who will provide progress reports on a regular basis for review and feedback.
